What tool can be used in Adobe Photoshop to stretch and enlarge shapes smoothly?

I’m new to Adobe Photoshop, and I’d like to play around with a few pictures but I’m not sure exactly what tools to use.

Can someone tell me how to shape facial characteristics, like enlarge a nose, eyes, ears, or mouth? I’d like to use a tool so that when they are stretched, the surrounding area is formed smoothly with them, so that they do not look out of place or choppy.

If anyone could help explain some possibilities, it would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Select what you want to distort. and copy it to a separate layer.
Then choose Filter > Distort > Pinch. It will probably default to +50, but you can change it using the slider. To make larger, slide down into the negative side of the scale.

Also, use Edit > Transform, and then scale, rotate, etc. to change size, perspective, orientation of the selection.

I usually reduce the opacity of the layer I’m working on to better view my changes. Be sure to change it back to 100% when you’re done.

I think the one of the best tools for doing as you described are those included in the Liquify filter (Filter/Liquify). Specifically the Forward Warp Tool, the Pucker Tool, and the Bloat Tool.
