Thanks for these films. Tish makes ytube richer, and it is still of some interest to people who never had the chance to see design legends speak.

  4. ThatsMyPurseLOL Says:

The host reminds me of Baba Booey from the Howard Stern show.

  5. MrAssist Says:

    Paul Rand

    Three Words

    abc, IBM, UPS

  6. mastergradeone Says:

i see how the host can be speechless at time. Logo and graphic design of Paul Rand is very simplistic, so there isnt much to say.

  7. BlkDarkness Says:

The Interviewer reminds me of a younger version of Henry Winkler. lol

  8. YoussefS Says:

    hahaha thats a brilliant comment

    Ab2:
Who was it that said: “form is content”?

  10. tapyenreit Says:

Kris: I apologize for insulting the host. His heart was in the right place and he has good taste–at least in his choice of guests–but as an artist myself, I’ve never understood the common disconnect between what other artists love and what they produce. So, he can keep the “kiss the sky” helmut of hair, but do something about the set. It looked like the decoration you might see on the walls inside a drive-in theater snack bar! Not a very honorable setting for the interview of a design titan!

  11. krishotsaucemiller Says:

STFU….It was ’91 what the hell do you expect??

  12. ab2kassang Says:

it’s not about his hair, its about the content of the Show!!!!

  13. tihoa Says:

it’s not bad taste, it’s just that the design, fashion, etc has become dated so we view it as something “old and crappy”. that’s what happens when you choose to be stylish with design.

    young people are
    HARSH
    these days…

  15. tapyenreit Says:

Yeah, it looks like a muscrat is sleeping on his head! There’s no excuse Baby Boomer. I’m older than you and I still think the Seventies were the worst fashion decade of the 20th Century! Get a hair cut!

  16. tapyenreit Says:

I can’t believe the host is a designer. He has bad taste in hair, clothing, set design and the title graphics for his show!

  17. jszczepaniak Says:

i think you did just fine!

  18. g0ssage Says:

the host is also a graphic designer so i think he was a bit nervous. imagine being a musician and interviewing elvis.
i’m so jealous he got to meet him.
and yes, thanks for making this available.

  19. mneedle1 Says:

this is a really interesting video. host is pretty dry…but otherwise its pretty good

  20. miggsb Says:

Hey, cut me some slack. We’re talking 1988 and being a 1946 baby boomer, I bought into the 60s big time, with the haircut, hemp and Hendrix. Excuse me…while I kiss the sky.

  21. swedishrhapsody Says:

Besides the host being the least bit interested in any of this, he’s got a terrible haircut.

  22. bytilmo Says:

SO boring, un-qualified to be on tv i think lol

  23. ometdd Says:

    surely he may…

  24. thepangla Says:

    Priceless

  25. vasili03 Says:

good video…but can this host be any more boring?
